Can Dante and MILAN successfully co-exist on the same network?

Dante and Milan/AVB are using different profiles of PTP. That's why they can not be functional with the same switch configuration. Most switch manufacturers support modes for both PTP profiles. Then they can coexist on the same network, but separated through VLANs.

Dear, Dante and AVB/Milan can co-exist on the same network. Dante uses PTPv1 and apart from QoS the switch does not need to have a profile set for it. Only for PtPv2 the switch is actively taking part in the clocking mechanism. I like to refer to this post about convergence of Dante and AVB/Milan for further explanation: milanavcommunity.proboards.com/post/149/threadKind regards Bart Swinnen Luminex Network Intelligence
